Ending off our 48th season with a bang, the HPYO performs Dvořák’s most famous symphony in one of the city’s most historic schools. Rounding out the program is the Overture to Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio and Serenade for Winds by Dvořák.

Masterful Sounds

Opening the season, the HPYO and special guests the Hamilton Childrens’ Choir join forces in a special program. Featuring Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2 along with one of Rossini’s famous opera overtures and a new arrangement of Little Drummer Boy for choir and orchestra, this concert brings together classical works for orchestra and voice as well as holiday favourites fit for the season.
An Evening of Serenades

Join us as we celebrate our 48th season with our annual fundraising dinner and silent auction. Enjoy this special evening of good food, great chamber music, and exciting auction items by local and out-of-town businesses. The evening culminates in a musical presentation by our full orchestra.

Cost: $60 per person, $500 for a table of ten. All proceeds go toward supporting the music program of the Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.

Maestro Colin Clarke makes his HPYO conducting debut in this casual matinee concert. Join us for this special premiere performance, featuring Bizet’s Carmen Suite No. 2, Holsts’s Mars from The Planets, and the finale of Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9. Meet our new maestro and the rest of the orchestra by joining us in the hall after for tea!
